Man charged after drugs, weapons seized from Sarnia home

A Sarnia man faces various charges after OPP seized a variety of drugs, a large amount of cash, and a prohibited weapon from a home in the city's south end.

As part of an ongoing investigation, Lambton OPP and West Region emergency response, street crimes, and canine units executed a residential search on Ross Avenue east of East Street.

Police say they found several ounces of suspected fentanyl powder, methamphetamine, conductive energy weapons, several electronic communication devices, and about $10,000 in cash.

Adam Timothy Schramek, 35, is charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon, one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and one count under $5,000, possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of methamphetamine.

Schramek was being held pending a bail hearing.
