Fraud charges for fake bus passes

Sarnia police have arrested a man for allegedly selling fake city bus passes.

Police launched an investigation into fraudulent City of Sarnia transit passes last week, and were given a description of a potential suspect.

A city bus driver contacted police at around 11 a.m Sunday, and reported the suspect was one of the passengers on the bus.

A 55-year-old man was arrested in the area of George Street and Vidal Street, and police seized several fraudulent bus passes during a search of the suspect.

Daniel Vaughn Nahmabin faces charges of fraud and possession of forged documents.

Police warn that anyone found in possession of fake passes, could face similar charges.
