A Sarnia doctor has been charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault dating back to 1982.
Sarnia police say Dr. Kunwar Raj Singh, 76, attended city police headquarters Wednesday and was arrested.
Dr. Singh is charged with one count of indecent assault on a female as a result of an investigation that began in October of this year.
Police say the victim of the alleged sexual assault was 15 years old at the time and is now 51. It's alleged she was assaulted at a doctor's office during an assessment.
Dr. Singh has been released from custody and is to attend court on January 8, 2019.
