Artwork by patients in Bluewater Health's Child & Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit has been featured on Christmas Cards this holiday season.
The Rotaract Club of Sarnia-Lambton, a young professionals service network run under the Rotary umbrella, is selling the cards to raise funds for that unit.
President Reid William Eyre said it's the largest project they've taken on independently.
"Originally I had anticipated that this would be with the general paediatric unit at Bluewater Health, but when Kathy Alexander, the Executive Director for the Bluewater Health Foundation, suggested to me the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Unit, it just made a lot of sense," said Eyre. "Mental health treatment is something that many of our members are extremely passionate about. So, for it to be at the centre of our first major project is really great."
Eyre said the cards, printed on premium stock paper, are sold in bundles of six for $25.
They are available at Poppies and the Bluewater Health Foundation office in the hospital, The Bookkeeper on Exmouth Street or and Kay's Petals and Plants in Corunna.
