The Sarnia Sting began their eastern road trip with a convincing 8-2 win over the Frontenacs in Kingston.
Anthony Salinitri (12) opened the scoring five minutes into the first period. Kelton Hatcher (4) made it 2-0 before Kingston's Ryan Cranford (6) scored to end the period.
Jacob Perreault (8) and Theo Hill (2) tallied for the Sting in the second.
Cranford (7) scored again for the Frontenacs before Salinitri (13) made it 5-2 after two.
It was all Sarnia in the third with goals from Hugo Leufvenius (14), Adam Ruzicka (6) and Perreault (9).
Salinitri said he got help from his linemates Sean Josling and Franco Sproviero. "I thought Sean and "Spro" played really well. We played hard. We did a lot of the little things right and the pucks were going my way."
Adam Hughes stopped 25 of 27 shots for Sarnia while the Sting fired 39 shots at Frontenacs goalies' Ryan Dugas and Brendan Bonello.
Sarnia visits the league-leading Ottawa 67's Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
Salinitri said "We gotta do a lot of the things we did tonight. We've got to limit our mistakes obviously because they're a good team. They're going to make us pay so I think we've got to get pucks in deep, play hard and hard and physical and get on them early."
