Magic Realty has closed after 40 years of business in Sarnia -- but there's a silver lining.
Founder Don Guerette said the brokerage has amalgamated with Re/MAX Sarnia Realty, which is run by his daughter April Barnard.
"I have had plans for 12 years since she took over that eventually I would do this," said Guerette. "A week ago I decided that this is what I was going to do... and we've done it."
He said most of his agents, about 27, decided to transfer to RE/MAX, while a few launched the new Coldwell Banker Southwest Realty in Sarnia.
Re/MAX Sarnia Realty is located in the Business Centre at 1319 Exmouth St. in Sarnia.
