Hundreds of local Grade 9 students are taking part in the 24th annual Take Our Kids To Work Day Wednesday.
Great Lakes Secondary School student Hannah Gladwish said she thought shadowing her dad Shawn at Blackburn Radio would be a fun day.
"I think radio is really cool," said Gladwish. "I've kind of grew up with radio my whole life so I've always been in radio stations and I like it here, maybe I'll have a career here, who knows?"
St. Francois Xavier student Jai Moss said his experience has been fun, but he doesn't think radio is for him.
"My experience has been pretty good and it's been really relaxed because I got here at like four in the morning," said Moss. "I've never thought about what I want to do, and it does help because now I know what I don't want to do because I don't really like speaking in front of a lot of people."
Since 1994, millions of students across Canada have spent the day in the life of a working professional to experience career skills and explore the world of work.
