Parking will become a little easier at St. Joseph elementary school in Corunna.
Trustees with the St. Clair Catholic District School Board have approved the purchase of 4.55 acres of land adjacent to the school.
Board Treasurer Amy Janssens says the land is located to the north and west of the property.
"We will be able to use this land to increase the size and improve the configuration of the parking lot," says Janssens. "The additional land would also be a suitable location for portable classrooms, should they be required due to a future increase in enrolment."
The $225,000 cost of the land will be paid for through the board's accumulated surplus funds.
