Provincial police are investigating a drowning that occurred late Saturday afternoon in Lake Huron.
Huron County OPP, Lambton OPP and Lambton EMS responded to an address on Bluewater Hwy. (Hwy 21) in the Municipality of South Huron after receiving reports of a male in distress in the lake.
Police say the male had been swimming with friends and family when he submerged. He was located unconscious and pulled to shore where efforts to resuscitate were unsuccessful.
Kane Rodricks, 29, of Mississauga was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency responders.
A post-mortem examination has been scheduled for August 27.
