International Students Seeking Sarnia Co-Op Placements

About 50 international students will be looking to find co-op placements in Sarnia for the upcoming fall term.

Lambton College, in partnership with Cestar College in Toronto, is hosting a job fair on Thursday intended to connect post-graduate students to employers in the area.

Cestar Director Adrian Sharma says the majority of the students are from the quality engineering management program, which involves things like quality assurance and precise measuring.

He's hopeful that at least 20 of the 48 students making the trip will find a placement.

"What we're trying to do with this event is have our students who are going out on co-op this fall, do them in Sarnia. It's just a way for the students get some exposure to Sarnia," says Sharma.

The job fair is on from 1pm to 2:30pm at the Lambton Shared Services Centre.

Lambton and Cestar College have been in partnership for seven-and-a-half years. This is the first collaborated job fair between the two schools.
