Long Time City Employee Saluted

It's not often someone remains on the job for 45 years but that's the case with Sarnia's executive assistant to the mayor.

It was on this day, July 19, 1973, that Janis Moore first reported to Sarnia City Hall.

She first worked with Andy Brandt, followed by the late Marceil Saddy, Ron Gordon and current Mayor Mike Bradley.

"Deputy Mayor" Janis, as she's fondly called, says she was terrified getting on the bus 45 years ago and then walking into city hall.

Moore says she has great memories and has worked over the years with a group of wonderful people.

Mayor Bradley calls Janis the epitome of professionalism, treating everyone with respect and making everyone contacting or visiting the mayor's office, feel special.
