The message behind Thursday's nation-wide campaign to support victims of the deadly Humboldt Broncos bus crash is a simple one -- we are all one team.
Thousands of Canadians are taking part in "Jersey Day", which also encourages people to wear the hockey club's main colour, green, or a green ribbon.
Residents across Sarnia-Lambton, including staff at Blackburn Radio, are showing their support, posting photos with the hashtag #JerseysForHumboldt.
Staff and volunteers at Bluewater Health, students at area schools, Sarnia Fire and Rescue Service, Sarnia police, businesses and city and county staff are all sporting jerseys.
The flag in front of Sarnia City Hall is at half-mast and Petrolia hockey organizations are holding a short ceremony on the lawn of the Greenwood Rec Centre at 4:45pm.
Other Lambton communities, including Point Edward and Plympton-Wyoming, are also showing support.
Financial support continues to flood in for the victims and survivors of last week's horrific crash in rural Saskatchewan.
A GoFundMe campaign has now passed the $9.4-million mark with over 100,000 donors from 65 countries making pledges.
