Home Fenced Off After Needles Found (VIDEO)

Fencing has gone up around a house on Davis St., just east of Mitton, in Sarnia after a high number of needles were found near the boarded-up building.

Greg Jones, who has set up a Facebook page named "Take Back Our City", called police Sunday after he was contacted by nearby business owners.

"I went over there with my camera and just went around and did a little video and pointed out that there's 30 to 40 visible needles lying scattered all around the grass," says Jones. "In amongst them, I saw a VHS movie there, Walt Disney, my concern all of a sudden became that a couple of boys or girls, who are bored, go in the backyard, see the movies, try to grab them and get poked."

Jones believes the syringes and other drug paraphernalia are being dumped in the yard by people visiting or living in what he calls a nearby drug house.

He says police called in city works crews who quickly fenced off the area until it can be safely cleaned up.
