The installation of new poles and conductor replacement will cause lane closures on Murphy Rd. and Hwy. 402 this week.
Bluewater Power says five wood poles will be replaced on Murphy Rd. near the Hwy. 402 overpass.
From 8am until 8pm Monday March 26, the southbound lanes of Murphy Rd. will be closed starting near the Hwy. 402 overpass to the Exmouth St. intersection.
The northbound lanes will be reduced to one northbound lane and one southbound lane to allow two-way traffic.
The utility says the work is expected to be completed Monday but it could spill over into Tuesday.
On Thursday March 29, starting at 12:30am, conductor replacement across Hwy. 402 at the Murphy Rd. overpass will result in the eastbound lanes of the highway being closed at the Indian Rd. off-ramp.
The Hwy. 402 eastbound on-ramps at Indian Rd. will be closed with traffic having to access the eastbound highway at the Modeland Rd. interchange instead.
Westbound Hwy. 402 traffic will have rolling stops through the area as directed by the OPP.
Thursday's work is to be complete by around 2pm.
