Persons Of Interest In Fire Investigation

Sarnia police are asking the public to help identify two people of interest in the investigation of a suspicious fire in mid-January.

The predawn blaze January 16 destroyed a motorhome and damaged an adjacent house in the area of Indian Rd. and Exmouth St.

Constable John Sottosanti says surveillance photos released Tuesday show two people at a nearby service station, one of them apparently filling a container at the gas pumps.

"Members of the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch would like the public to look at the pictures that are supplied and see if they are able to identify the individuals," says Sottosanti. "The clothing appears to be unique and may assist the public in identifying at least one of the individuals."

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Brian Halfpenny at 519-344-8861 ext. 6213 or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers.
