UPDATE: Man Dies After Falling Into Farming Crop Bin

The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating after an Enniskillen Township man was killed in a farming accident.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday around 1:30pm, officers responded to a farm in the 4000-block of LaSalle Line after 78-year-old David John Brand fell into a crop storage bin while transferring the crop from a truck.

Police officials say Brand died as a result of his injuries. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday morning.

Labour Ministry spokesperson Janet Deline says two inspectors have responded to the scene. Petrolia/Enniskillen fire department and Lambton EMS also attended to assist.

No further information has been released.
