A 53-year-old Delhi man has been charged following a rear-end, chain-reaction crash on westbound Hwy. 402.
The Ontario Provincial Police say on Wednesday around 5pm, traffic was stopped, waiting to cross the Blue Water Bridge into the U.S. near Christina St. when one transport truck slammed into the back of another, pushing it forward into a third rig.
Leon James Carriere, 53, of Delhi is charged with careless driving.
No one was seriously hurt but the 402 was closed for nearly five hours.
Traffic was diverted off the highway at Modeland Rd., causing some traffic congestion on Exmouth St.
