A Busy Weekend For Santa In Sarnia-Lambton

The second annual Holiday Market at DeGroot's Nurseries kicks off Friday, November 24.

The Bluewater Health Foundation's annual fundraiser starts with the adult only event featuring over 30 vendors, food, drinks and live music. It's on from 5pm to 10pm.

Foundation Executive Director Kathy Alexander says Saturday's Winter Wonderland is for the kids, and the adults who are kids at heart. It runs from 11am until 4pm.

Tickets for both events are $10 at the door.

Funds raised will support child and adolescent mental health at Bluewater Health.

The Moore Optimist Club's annual Santa Claus Parade is set for Saturday, November 25.

It begins at 6pm at the No Frills parking lot and then proceeds north on Lyndoch St. in Corunna to Thompson Gardens.

Hot chocolate will be offered after the parade at the Corunna clock tower.

The Forest Kiwanis Santa Claus Parade gets underway at 7pm Saturday, November 25.

It starts at Kimball Hall on Townsend Line, west to Main St. North, then south to King St. as it makes its way downtown ending at the Forest Library.

Students from NLSS will be collecting canned goods along the parade route for the Contact House.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus will greet children at the Kineto Theatre after the parade.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
