Drake Rymsha scored with 32 seconds left in regulation, but the Sarnia Sting failed to equalize.
The Sting dropped their second game in a row, a 4-3 decision to the 67s Sunday afternoon in Ottawa.
Despite the consecutive losses, a massive winning streak has kept the Sting on top of the OHL West Division with a 15-3 record and 30 points, two ahead of the second place Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
The 67s got two goals in the first period, the first from Mathieu Foget on the power play at 9:58 and the second from Austen Keating for a 2-0 Ottawa lead.
Ottawa added to the lead in the beginning of the second with a score from Sam Bitten, but Sarnia's Jordan Kyrou got that goal back over a minute later with his 15th goal of the season. The 67s stretched to a three-goal lead again on a short-handed goal from Sasha Chmelevski and a 4-1 lead at second intermission.
The Sting tried to climb back in the third period. Adam Ruzicka scored at 12:02 to cut the 67s lead to 4-2. Rymsha's goal brought Sarnia to within one but they were unable to score again.
Justin Fazio got the loss in goal for the Sting, stopping 35 out of 38 Ottawa shots. Olivier Tremblay had 27 saves for the 67s.
The Sting welcomes the Greyhounds to Progressive Auto Sales Arena Friday night in a key division matchup.
