Some Olympic hopefuls are in town this weekend for the Oil Heritage Classic at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club. Multiple Brier and Grand Slam winner Glenn Howard headlines the field, that also features US Olympic hopeful Heath McCormick and 2014 Brier participant Mark Bice, who both curl out of the local club. The bonspiel got underway Thursday evening and features 22 teams, with the winning team getting a purse of $20,000 when competition wraps up Sunday. It is an official stop on the World Curling Tour, and will be a key event for those looking to make their Olympic teams.
