Deadline Approaching For Alix Foundation Applications

There isn't much time left to apply for funding for local capital projects from the Judith & Norman Alix Foundation.

Foundation Vice-President Adam Alix says applications are due by October 1.

"Each year we take in two rounds of applications, one in the spring usually in April and the other in October," says Alix.

He says over 20 applications were received in the first round earlier this year.

In the past the foundation has supported building the new Carriage House at the Seaway Kiwanis Children's Animal Farm and enhancements to Arnold Minielly Park in Camlachie.

In 2014, a $1-million gift was given to the Bluewater Health Withdrawal Management program.

Information on eligibility criteria can be found on the foundations website at www.jnaf.ca.
