Rash Of Thefts Reported Across Lambton County

Lambton OPP are investigating thefts that happened within the last few weeks.

The first is believed to have happened in mid-August.

Just under $4,000 worth of high end lawn and garden tools were stolen from a garage and shed in the 3000-block of Elgin St. in Alvinston.

OPP say items taken include a Stihl gas powered leaf blower and weed eater, a Stihl gas chainsaw, a Dewalt 13amp sawzall and an Ariens self-propelled mower.

Thieves entered a wind farm in Lambton Shores last week and made off with about $1,000 worth of ground cable.

Lambton OPP say sometime between Sunday, September 3 and Thursday, September 7, a 20 ft section of ground cable was removed from the base of a wind turbine tower.

An inflatable dingy and motor were stolen from the Grand Bend docks.

OPP say sometime between Monday, September 4 and Friday, September 8, unknown suspects stole a 2004 grey and white Valiant 300 inflatable dingy and outboard motor valued at about $3,000.
