No date has been set yet but Ontario's Transportation Minister is willing to visit Sarnia-Lambton to discuss Hwy. 402 safety.
MPP Bob Bailey sent a letter of invitation to Steven Del Duca after two major multi-transport truck crashes within a week east of the Christina St. overpass.

Del Duca says he hasn't received the letter yet, but looks forward to speaking with Bailey and community stakeholders.
"Not only to see some of the challenges that might exist on the 402, but just generally speaking I have a chance to visit the community," says Del Duca. "I'm hopeful we can put that together and I certainly do look forward to reviewing the letter once I have a copy of it myself."
Bailey wants to know if the ministry's Lane Management System and its end-of-queue detection system is fully operational in the westbound lanes leading up to the border crossing.
Mayor Mike Bradley has also written to the minister asking that speed limits, the electronic notification system and the possible need for more than one truck lane be examined.
