Tossed Beer Bottle Leads To Impaired Driving Charge

A 22-year-old Kitchener man is facing impaired driving charges after a beer bottle was allegedly thrown from a car in Grand Bend on Sunday afternoon.

After receiving a call from a concerned citizen, Lambton OPP stopped a Honda Civic on Ontario St. around 2:20pm.

The driver allegedly blew twice the legal limit and quantities of liquor were seized from the vehicle.

He's charged with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 mL of blood, driving a motor vehicle with open liquor, and novice driver producing a breath sample in excess of zero.

The driver is to appear at the Sarnia Court House on August 28, 2017 to answer to the charges.
