Driver Stable Following Hwy. 40 Crash

The male driver of a car involved in a head-on crash with a truck on Hwy. 40 in St. Clair Township Friday evening is now listed in stable condition in hospital.

Lambton OPP responded at around 6:30pm July 21 to Hwy. 40 near Courtright Line.

Police say a Dodge Avenger crossed the centre line and came into collision with a Volvo transport truck.

The driver of the car was extricated by fire and EMS personnel and transported to hospital with significant injuries.

The investigation continues and police say charges are likely.

Hwy. 40 was closed for a few hours between Courtright Line and Oil Springs Line.
