Feeling The Beat On The Street Downtown

People will be dancing in the street in downtown Sarnia this weekend.

The second annual Beats on the Street is on Friday and Saturday.

A portion of proceeds from the event will go towards St. Clair Child and Youth Services.

Co-organizer Joe Parr says there will be several DJs taking the stage Friday night.

"Starting at 6pm we have eight DJs that will be performing, most from the Sarnia area, we have some coming from London and we have one coming from Detroit," says Parr. "Saturday we are going to be starting at 1pm, all local acts ranging from full bands to solo acoustic sets, duets, a wide range of music."

The licensed event is being held in the Refined Fool parking lot at the corner of Julia St. and Davis St.

"We have the guys from Christo's taking care of the food for us and of course we are partnering with Refined Fool on this, and we're hosting the event in their parking lot, so they'll be there serving up their locally made beer," says Parr.

Advance tickets are available at Refined Fool and online at brownpapertickets.com

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
