Twenty five workers at Lambton-based Concrete Systems Ltd. have ratified a new three-year contract.
The members of the Christian Labour Association of Canada (CLAC) Local 53 voted unanimously in favour of the deal.
They'll receive an annual 3% wage increase and employer-paid pension contributions will rise. Improvements have also been made to the health benefits plan, boot allowance and paid bereavement leave.
"This is a great contract for our members," says CLAC Local 53 Representative Roger Grootenboer. "I am pleased that our members earn a high income with additional health, retirement and training benefits."
Formed in 1952, the Christian Labour Association is the country's largest independent, multi-sector union representing over 60,000 workers in almost every sector.
