Sarnia-Lambton Gets $5.4M In Infrastructure Funding

Several clean water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Sarnia-Lambton have been approved under the Canada-Ontario Clean Water and Wastewater Fund.

A total of 13 projects, including nine in St. Clair Township, will receive over $5.4-million in federal funding while the province kicks in up to 25% of the cost.

The biggest is the combined sewer separation project on Talfourd, Devine and nearby side streets that has over a $4-million price tag.

Petrolia is getting a total of $628,000 for the Florence, Egan and Kerby St. sewer separation project.

Plympton-Wyoming will get $529,000 for watermain replacements on five roadways while Point Edward will use its $261,000 for work at the waste water treatment facility.

St. Clair Township will receive almost $1.8-million with the bulk being spent on the Sombra and Port Lambton Wastewater Lagoon Optimization.
