After four seasons in a Sarnia Sting uniform, defenceman Jeff King has signed a standard player contract with the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL.
The Solar Bears are an affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a career year this past season, putting up 14 goals and 56 points in 66 games.
The St. Clair, MI native accumulated 131 points (26g-105a) and 174 penalty minutes in 250 career games with Sarnia, tied for the second-most games in Sting franchise history.
King had 25 points in 51 games with the GOJHL's Sarnia Legionnaires in 2012-13, and was a member of the Lambton Jr. Sting Minor Midget program in 2011-12.
