Real-life Cinderella stories will be played out this weekend.
The non-profit Sarnia-Lambton organization is giving those with financial troubles the opportunity to receive a free dress along with other goodies.
"It's been awesome," says founder Debbie Anderson. "It's more than I ever imagined it to be."
What started in 2010 only offering 40 prom and graduation dresses to those in need, now offers over 1,200 dresses to choose from.
Although it's not required, Anderson encourages girls planning to attend to register online by clicking here to cut down on wait times.
"When they come to the boutique, they'll be assigned a personal shopper who is a volunteer to help them throughout the whole process of picking out and selecting dresses," says Anderson. "After they select their perfect dress the girls will also get some free jewellery, and we have a photographer on site."
Over 100 participants are expected this year.
Sarnia-Lambton Rebound assists in the collection of dresses throughout the year.
Cash donations can also be made, which help purchase grab bags of personal hygiene items, dress racks and curtains for dressing rooms.
The event runs Friday from 5:30pm to 9pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm at 100 Christina St.
