The Sarnia Sting fell to the Erie Otters Wednesday night, bringing an end to their 2016-2017 season.
For three members of the hockey club, that brings and end to their junior hockey careers.
Captain Kevin Spinozzi played 275 games, 212 with the Sarnia Sting. He enjoyed career highs in goals (13) and points (41) during his final year in the league.
He says he is proud to finish his junior career as the captain of the Sarnia Sting.
"Five years went by in a blink of an eye, just like that. I made a lot of memories, and I was happy to spend four years here in Sarnia," says Spinozzi. "I learned so much here, to be able to finish my career with this organization is something I'm tremendously proud of."
Other graduating overages include Jaden Lindo and Jeff King. King, a Lambton Jr. Sting graduate, played 250 OHL games, all with the Sarnia Sting. He enjoyed career highs in goals (14), assists (42), and points (56) this season. He finsihed his OHL career with 26 goals and 131 points.
