A new contract agreement has been reached with 107 members of the Lambton County Employee Association.
Lambton County Council ratified the deal during a special meeting in Wyoming Thursday morning.
County solicitor David Cribbs says the full-time, part-time and casual employees work in the county's library system, provincial offences court administration and at the county's two museums.
"It's a four year collective agreement, retroactive to January 1, 2017 and expires the last day of 2020," says Cribbs.
Members will receive wage hikes of 1.25% in 2017, 2018 and 2019, 1.5% in 2020 as well as additional hikes of .5% halfway through the third and fourth years.
Cribbs says it's important to recognize the value provided by county staff and respect the taxpayer and feels they've accomplished both with the agreement.
