Greyhounds Double Sting 6-3

The Sarnia Sting dropped a 6-3 decision to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at the Essar Centre on Wednesday.

Anthony Salinitri scored the first goal of the night for the Sting, but the Greyhounds were able to score twice to gain a 2-1 lead going into the second period.

It was a back-and-forth second frame, with Sault Ste. Marie scoring at 2:58 and Drake Rymsha responding with a goal for the Sting in the second half of the period. The Greyhounds scored again less than two minutes later and Rymsha followed up with his second goal of the night.

Sault Ste. Marie led the Sting 4-3 at the beginning of the third, and the Greyhounds were able to keep Sarnia at bay to score two unanswered goals and ensure their win.

The Greyhounds also outshot Sarnia 39-21.

The Sting return home on Friday to take on the Windsor Spitfires at 7:05pm.
