Sarnia police believe there may be a link between an attempted armed robbery in the city Tuesday morning and an armed robbery in Wyoming targeting pharmacies.
Police say around 9am Tuesday, a masked man armed with a knife, tried to rob Vidal Pharmacy in the 300-block of Vidal St. S.
Constable John Sottosanti says they continue to search for a suspect.
"The suspect in this matter is a male, described as being around 6' tall, slender build, wearing black wind pants, a grey hoodie and white running shoes," says Sottosanti. "He was also carrying a knife that was approximately 6" in length. He was last seen running on Confederation St. toward Christina St. and it's unknown if the individual entered a vehicle or where he entered the vehicle, if he did."
Lambton OPP say around 9:35am Tuesday a male suspect, robbed the Paul Marley Pharmacy in the 600-block of Broadway St. Wyoming.
Anyone who may have noticed the suspect in the area of Broadway St. and Niagara St. between 9:30am and 10:45am is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
There were no injuries reported in either incident.
