County Rd. 79 (Nauvoo Rd.) from north of County Rd. 4 (Petrolia Line) to south of Lasalle Line in Brooke-Alvinston will be closed for six days beginning Monday, March 6, weather permitting.
It's to allow for slope repair work. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed through.
Motorists, especially truck loads exceeding half load limits, should follow posted detour routes and avoid gravel roads.
Once the road reopens on the seventh working day, motorists are advised they will still see lane closures and traffic delays until the project is completed over a two week time frame.
