The Sarnia Sting downed the Flint Firebirds 6-1 in OHL action on Friday.
The Firebirds drew first blood with a goal 9:50 into the game, but Jeff King scored for Sarnia late in the first period to tie things up. A strong second period for the Sting saw Sean Josling, Troy Lajeunesse, Anthony Salinitri and Adam Ruzicka score to give the Sting a 5-1 lead.
Josling scored another unanswered goal 9:42 into the final frame to cap off Sarnia's win.
Sarnia goaltender Justin Fazio made 32 saves out of 33 shots on net.
The Sting are one home ice on Sunday when they take on the Saginaw Spirit at 1pm.
