Bogus Bills In Petrolia

Lambton OPP are investigating the circulation of counterfeit money in the Town of Petrolia.

On Tuesday, police responded to commercial properties in the 4000 and 4100 blocks of Petrolia Line.

In each case, police seized an American $100 bill that was determined to be counterfeit.

The OPP are reminding the public that checking banknotes protects everyone, and that if anyone suspects a note may be counterfeit, police should be called.
