Local business woman Stephanie Purdy is a "dancing queen."
Steph Purdy, of Purdy Ideal You Weight Loss Centre, and her pro partner Vasco Michieli, were crowned the winners at the Sarnia-Lambton Alzheimer's Society second annual Dancing With The Stars gala Saturday night.
It was hoped the event would raise $30,000 for the local Alzheimer's Society.
Event organizer Eve Morgan says the money stays in the community.
“It does stay right here in Sarnia-Lambton and it goes to programs and services that help alzheimer and related dementia patients basically continue on with their lives and manage day to day,” says Morgan. “They also help their families and caregivers, help them manage as well.”
Other celebs who danced the night away included Blackburn Radio's Matt Sampaio, MP Marilyn Gladu, realtor Lisa Aubin, Tim Horton's owner Greg Boyle and Dave Burrows of "The Show."
