Rollover Crash On Churchill Line Claims Life Of Driver

One person is dead following a rollover crash involving a transport truck and a car in Sarnia.

Sarnia police says officers and EMS responded to the collision on Churchill Line just west of Mandaumin Rd. at 12:43pm Friday afternoon.

Police say the driver of the car suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the driver will not be released until next of kin have been notified.

The driver of the transport truck was taken to hospital by ambulance and treated for minor injuries.

As of 5pm, police say the section of Churchill Line between Mandaumin Rd. and Waterworks Side Rd. will remain closed until further notice as the Sarnia Police Service Traffic Division continues the investigation.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area until further notice.
