Anglers Meet Tuesday Night

Bluewater Anglers will gather Tuesday night to elect new directors.

Spokesman Brad Armstrong says they'll also provide an update on their hatchery operations.

"Our rainbow trout and our brown trout are doing very well," he says. "The salmon egg collection was really tough this year and the salmon that are in the hatchery are quite small in numbers. We had a tough time and it's one thing to deal with Mother Nature. She always works on her own schedule and it just didn't work out for us this year."

The fish will be released into area waterways this spring in late April or early May.

The guest speakers Tuesday evening will include Joslyn Leung from Angling Outfitters who will talk about optimizing GPS and Fish Finders. As well, Tony Degasperis from Action Fishing will be attending to discuss fish and stocking in Lake Huron.

Anyone is welcome to attend.

The anglers next event will be their annual Ice Derby on February 18.
