Petrolia To Focus On Waste Water Treatment Plant In 2017

Petrolia Mayor John McCharles hopes to continue the momentum seen in 2016 well into the new year.

The town wrapped up the reconstruction of Petrolia Line and is turning its sights on a much needed upgrading of the waste water treatment plant.

"That project should be completed by the end of 2017 at a cost of $20-million," he says. "We're also looking at doing Florence, Egan and Kerby streets which are in dire need of upgrading. We also want to do some other projects. If we get some funding we'll be doing some renovations at the arena and maybe expanding the Oil Heritage District Community Centre."
