The mercury at Sarnia's Chris Hadfield Airport peaked at 12.7 C (55 F) at around 4pm, unofficially breaking the previous record high for December 26 of 10 C (50 F ) set in 1982. Wind gusts to 60 km/h were also recorded at the airport as an intense Colorado low swept through.
