Habitat For Humanity Sarnia-Lambton is about to embark on a pair of builds in Watford as part of the 34th annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter work project.
Every year, the former US President and his wife choose a country to help with housing builds.
Local Director Sarah Reaume says it'll be Canada's largest build project ever. She's thrilled to be a part of it.
"They're two of our habitat homes, built for two local families in Watford with young children," says Reaume.
"We purchased a double lot on Scenic Dr., and we are due to break ground the first week in November. Our intention is to be part of the big celebrations on the week of July 9 in 2017."
Reaume says the work wouldn't be possible without the help of local volunteers.
As part of the Carter Work Project, 150 homes are being constructed across Canada in 2017 in celebration of the country's 150th birthday.
It's hoped work will be completed by July 2017.
