Loonies for Lunches gets underway Aug 29. Inn of the Good Shepherd Executive Director Myles Vanni says staff at Sarnia McDonalds restaurants will be asking for a $1 donation for the back-to-school food drive. "We're serving in the Food Bank on average 750 children every month," he says. "We all know that good nutrition is a key factor for learning. If a child is hungry, that attention span just isn't there." The money will be used to help buy items for school lunches. You can also make donations of non-perishable snack items in bins at the Christina St., Exmouth St. and London Rd. McDonalds.
