Sarnia got a significant soaking of rain Tuesday. Environment Canada says as of 2pm, 49 mm (2 in) had been recorded at Chris Hadfield Airport. The heaviest rain fell in the pre-dawn hours. A moisture-laden system from Texas, with some embedded thunderstorms, was dumping significant rain across southern Ontario. A severe thunderstorm watch issued Tuesday morning for Sarnia-Lambton ended early in the afternoon.
