The national weather agency was monitoring a line of thunderstorms moving rapidly across Michigan that had the potential to produce strong wind gusts and large hail.
Thunderstorms are in the forecast for Thursday night into Friday as well.
Residents are advised to watch for threatening conditions and take shelter if necessary.
A heat warning remains in effect.
