30 names are inscribed on a new plaque now hanging in the foyer of St. Patrick's High School.
It honours Sarnia's fallen Catholic soldiers and is the brainchild of Tom Slater, according to teacher Blake Morrison.
"He is quite a local history buff," he says. "It's about honouring the soldiers educated in our Catholic education system in Lambton County who paid the ultimate sacrifice."
Lou Giancarlo and Tom St. Amand helped design the plaque which has 30 names inscribed in the black granite.
13 soldiers died in the First World War, 14 in World War II, two in Korea and one, Will Cushley, in Afghanistan.
