Sarnia police conducted a secondary search today in connection with the city's first homicide of the year. The body of Jonathan Patrick Pike, 26, of Sarnia, was found by police in a wooded area just west of Tashmoo Ave. during the early morning hours on Friday, March 25. Officers with the Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Branch re-attended the scene of the crime off Tashmoo Ave earlier this morning, to search for further evidence. Two people were arrested after a vehicle, believed related to the homicide, was seized following a pursuit with Lambton OPP on Sunday, March 27. They were charged with flight from police, but no charges have been laid yet directly connected to Pike's death. Police continue to investigate and anyone with information in connection with the homicide is asked to contact Sarnia police Detective Sergeant Dwayne Whelpley at 519-344-8861 ext 6151, or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers.
