Brick Hurling Man Arrested

Sarnia police say a witness helped officers locate a man who was allegedly throwing bricks from the roof of a downtown building Tuesday.

Police say around 2:45pm, a man was seen hurling bricks, smashing a residential window from the roof of a building in the 100-block of Front St.

The witness contacted police and followed a 53-year-old man until officers were able to arrest him in the area of Christina St. and Wellington St.

He's charged with mischief and was released on a promise to appear.

Police commend members of the public for reporting crime but also caution they should never get involved physically with any suspects.
