SCF Gives $25K In Scholarships

Lambton County residents have a chance to apply for $25,000 worth of scholarships.

The Sarnia Community Foundation is now accepting submissions for six different categories.

It's made possible through community donors wanting to give back through education.

Executive Director Jane Anema says they awarded eleven students last year.

"This year, they come in a variety of categories," she says. "We have scholarships for the trade, for students with disabilities, for people that want to explore arts, and different educational opportunities all the way along the line!"

Scholarship requirements can be found on their website, www.sarniacommunityfoundation.ca under the "Request" tab.

The foundation is also accepting Community Impact Grants for registered charities and other qualified donees before April 30.

A celebration grant presentation will take place in September.
